Call (925) 516-1930RVs and boats, from the same family shop
We repair fiberglass on RVs and boats. It is the same family shop that has handled collision repair and paint in Brentwood since 2006, so the bodywork and the paint stay under one roof.
The sections below are general information about how this kind of repair works. Your vehicle may need something different, and we will tell you after we look at it.
The kinds of fiberglass damage
Fiberglass has an outer colored layer called gelcoat over the glass and resin that give it strength. The damage you see falls into a few groups:
- Chips and gouges in the gelcoat.
- Cracks, from fine spider cracks to a crack that runs right through.
- Holes and impact damage, where the glass layers are broken.
- Soft or separating areas, where the layers have lifted apart, often from water getting in.
A cosmetic chip and a crack that lets water into the structure are very different jobs, so it is worth having it looked at.
How a fiberglass repair usually goes
The damaged area is ground back to sound material, rebuilt with new fiberglass cloth and resin, shaped smooth, and then finished with gelcoat or paint so the color matches. A repair that goes through the structure takes more layers than a cosmetic one.
What to tell us when you call
Calling is the quickest way to get an answer. It helps if you can tell us:
- Whether it is an RV or a boat, and roughly how big.
- Where the damage is and how it happened.
- Whether an insurance claim is involved.
- Whether you can bring it to the shop.
We will tell you what we can do and what the next step is.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an estimate for my RV or boat?
Call us and tell us what happened, or stop by.
What kinds of RV and boat damage can you repair?
Fiberglass is repaired with cloth and resin, then sanded, filled and finished, so cracks, holes, impact damage and surface damage can usually be repaired.
Will the repair match the color of my RV or boat?
Matching fiberglass finishes takes care, because older gelcoat and paint fade. Ask any shop to show you a match in daylight.
Will my insurance cover it?
If the damage came from an accident, collision or storm, it may be covered under your RV or boat policy. We can give you a written estimate for your insurer.
